{ feeling : itchy

This shits been in my head all day.

That is all.

{ feeling : chilly
{ hearing : the simpsons

That is all for now. I don’t feel like doing much today. It’s kind of bad. I am in a generally kind of fail mood right now. TTFN.

I was going to post a review of a stand-up show I went to a week ago only I didn’t finish so instead, here’s something awesome.

Well, it’s just a jump off point. Joe sent the image to me a few days ago and I laughed but I went back to it and realized, I really like the artist’s stuff. He is formerly from Chicago, too!

I don’t know, I just wanted to say, I dig it. I don’t know if there’s any hidden meaning to his work but it’s sort of this whimsical imagery I enjoy like Jeff Soto and sort of, Kurt Halsey. I’m a sucker for swishes done well … He draws octopi creatures.

Oh man, one of my classmates made the most awesome jellyfish creatures but they were too thick-lined to be jellyfish so he’s probably not keeping them. I don’t care if Jobson says they have condoms on, they’re awesome.

Anyways, visit Mr. Yang’s site. It’s pretty simple. Just a blog, but the artwork is pretty darned amazing.

So a strange thing happened during this winter break: I managed to finish reading six books. I’d usually be hooked on a video game the entire time or maybe TV but the books read were …

  1. Dry by Augusten Burroughs
  2. A Wolf at the Table by Augusten Burroughs
  3. Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robison
  4. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
  5. Magical Thinking by Augusten Burroughs
  6. I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell by Tucker Max

Basically this tells you I like the memoirs. More specifically, Augusten Burroughs. This is very sudden considering I’m one of those nerds that used to read series like Lemony Snicket and EverWorld. Oh yes, not to mention Harry Potter.

Then there’s Tucker Max.

The funny thing about me reading Tucker Max is that two different people somewhat suggested him to me because I was griping about the fact I ran out of Augusten Burroughs books. Actually, the original plan was for me to read as much as possible, zoom through the David Sedaris books I grabbed and anything else lying around.

But then picking up this little book, I had to read it as soon as possible from this back cover:

“My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way. I share my adventures with the world. “

... ... ... Moving on.

So I’m trying to make a habit of making my desktop look pretty since I do graphic design and because, why not? I just changed it today because I felt like it.

The images are kind of big and I don’t feel like making thumbnails so … Yes. It’s behind the cut.

If anything, you can see my current “To Do” list.

... ... ... Moving on.

{ feeling : kinda flu-ish
{ hearing : random commercials on abc

So, I’m semi-determined in writing more here. More specifically, things on possibly music and graphic design because I figure, these are things I like and sorta just bug Joe about because I have no one else to vent to about these things!

For example, the new Pepsi brand.
I think it’s pretty bad.
Not bad good but bad bad. Uck.

... ... ... Moving on.
