{ feeling : kinda flu-ish
{ hearing : random commercials on abc

So, I’m semi-determined in writing more here. More specifically, things on possibly music and graphic design because I figure, these are things I like and sorta just bug Joe about because I have no one else to vent to about these things!

For example, the new Pepsi brand.
I think it’s pretty bad.
Not bad good but bad bad. Uck.

I got this book today out of complete randomness. After wandering into the Michael’s to get some more black yarn, Joe and I wandered to the Half-Price Books across its way.

Just to kill time. Why not?

Anyways, after discovering graphic design books are still damned expensive, I stumbled upon one that wasn’t too expensive.

Jeremyville Sessions … I pretty much picked it up because it was shiny. I had no real access to it because it was shrink wrapped. It was marked from $40 bucks to $12! I am a sucker for low prices. Kind of lame, yes.

While I’ve only had it a couple of hours, it’s pretty nice. It’s just not because the shiny but as you can see, there is also a free CD, stickers, AND a poster.

I kid. It’s gots lots of graphic inspiration. Mostly character design but still nice! I’ve done my fair share of doodles.

Class, it’s not that interesting sometimes!

The whole thing overall is street but hey, that’s my favourite. I love the colours all over the place. The designs are placed all over from walls to sneakers to messenger bags. Only thing that saddens me is that I can’t yoink some of them thar goodies.

I fear I’ll be turning into my Intro to Graphic Design teacher but it can be sort of good. The thing about that teacher is that he told us tales of buying things purely because of the graphics. One of the first things? Buying a Pixies album but not actually on the intent to listen. In this random find at a discount book store, it’s neat!

Although, I’m not entirely there yet. I saw a copy of The Communist Manifesto and adored the cover’s typography. Didn’t buy it though!

It would have been nice, though. It was only four bucks.
